TAPA 2023-2026 Strategic Plan

 

It's our privilege to present this blueprint of our shared future, designed to pave a successful path for our members and organization alike.

Acting as our compass, this Strategic Plan encapsulates the vision the 2023-2024 Board of Directors solidified through comprehensive goals and strategies. The mission statement below is the purpose of the Academy, and the vision statement below is TAPA's commitment to our future.


Mission Statement

To promote and advance the PA profession in Texas through advocacy, professional development, and engagement.
Vision Statement

Create a thriving community of PAs who are leaders in healthcare, making a lasting impact on health and wellness. 

The leadership at TAPA is committed to the successful execution of this Strategic Plan and constantly striving to offer our members the unparalleled value they deserve.


Pillars of Success
ADVOCATE

Protecting and enhancing the ability of PAs to provide safe, high-quality cost-efficient healthcare.

This will be accomplished through:

  • Grassroots Engagement: Develop and equip grassroot PA networks to engage with local, state, and federal leaders.
  • TAPA PA-PAC: Build PA-PAC to have sufficient influence at the Capitol, increasing PA awareness of its purpose.
  • Coalitions: Foster alliances and participate in coalitions to make a lasting impact on health and wellness.
  • Legislative Priorities: Invest in the political and regulatory consultants necessary to advance and protect the PA profession.
ENGAGE

Engaging PA professionals in the Academy through opportunity and by delivering significant value.

This will be accomplished though:

  • Value: Demonstrate and communicate the value (ROI) of TAPA’s benefits and services.
  • Membership Growth: Support continuous growth of the Academy’s membership by providing resources, opportunities, and services, honoring the diversity of the PA network.
  • Programs & Institutional Collaborations: Foster relationships with PA programs, PA societies and stakeholder organizations.
  • Affiliate Relations: Strengthen relationships with affiliates to have mutual benefit.
PROMOTE

Utilizing effective and consistent communication strategies to promote the PA profession.

This will be accomplished though:

  • Health & Wellness Campaigns: Promote health and wellness public campaigns to benefit communities
  • Regional Group Relations: Strengthen regional group relationships for mutual benefit.
  • Internet Presence: Expand digital and media presence through social media, press releases, media relations, and white papers.
CAREER SUPPORT

Establishing TAPA as the leading choice for PA education through unique programs and support for life-long career success.

This will be accomplished though:

  • Education: Deliver up-to-date, high-quality educational programs and signature events expanding the knowledge, skills, and abilities to increase professional competence.
  • Connections: Provide opportunities, platforms, and conferences that allow PAs to network and learn.
  • Mentoring: Facilitate opportunities for mentorship for the career lifespan of a PA.
  • Leadership: Offer leadership training programs to enhance and position PAs in leadership roles.
