The TAPA Foundation is excited to announce the call for applications for the 2024 TAPA Student Scholarship.

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering the next generation of PAs, we will award a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student who is poised to make significant contributions to PA Profession.

The deadline to submit applications is August 26, 2024, and the scholarship recipient will be announced during the Foundation Event on Saturday during the TAPA 50th Annual Meeting & CME Conference.

Eligibility Criteria:

Before applying, please ensure you meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. You must be a current TAPA Student Member.
2. You must be enrolled in an accredited Texas PA Program.
3. You must be able to submit at least one set of PA Program transcripts.

Selection Criteria:

Applications will be evaluated based on the following:

1. Academic Record: Demonstrated excellence in academic performance.
2. Community, Leadership, and Scholarly Activities: Active engagement in community service, leadership roles, and scholarly endeavors.
3. Future Goals as a PA: Clear vision and articulation of your future goals as a Physician Assistant.

Application Process:

Applications must be submitted electronically via our three-part process:

1. Scholarship Application Part 1: Complete the form at the following link: 2024 Scholarship Part 1. Be prepared to upload two essays within this form. Please note that you cannot save your progress and return later.

2. Scholarship Application Part 2 – Evaluation: Forward this link to a mentor, PA, program faculty, physician, or other person who is familiar with your accomplishments, community activities, and future goals as a PA: 2024 Scholarship Part 2. They will complete the evaluation form and submit it directly to TAPA.

3. Scholarship Application Part 3 – PA Program Director Verification: Send this link to your PA program director or their designee: 2024 Scholarship Part 3. They will complete the verification form and submit it to TAPA.
