With a unanimous vote, HB 2544 (Campos), the PA Interstate Licensure Compact, advances from the Public Health Committee to the House Calendars Committee for a vote on the House floor.
TAPA would like to thank all the PAs that submitted testimony online; your testimony is invaluable to elected representatives on the public health committee. A special thank you to TAPA President-Elect Janith Mills, MAPS, PA-C, DFAAPA, for traveling to Austin and giving in-person testimony in front of the House Committee on Public Health concerning the positive impact that the HB2544 would have on her practice in pediatric neurology and for PAs across the nation.
The bill now heads to the calendars committee for consideration on the House Floor. TAPA will keep you updated regarding the bill’s advancement through the 88th Legislative session.
